Meet Michelle!

Newlyweds with Photography by Michelle Jane at the Shankly Hotel, Liverpool.

Hi, I’m Michelle — a wedding photographer based in Lowton, near Warrington, capturing love stories across the North West, including Wigan, Lancashire, Cheshire and Manchester — and throughout the UK.

Professional third wheel? Absolutely. Calm-in-the-chaos? Always. Not to mention awkward infront of the camera (think Chandler Bing)!

I’ve had a camera in my hand since I was little, though my path took a few meaningful detours first. I spent 14 years as a mental health nurse supporting adults and children, before moving into teaching and completing my PG Cert in Higher Education — determined to show my own children they can achieve anything they set their hearts on.

Last year, life threw a curve ball that gave me the chance to pursue wedding photography full time — and it’s been going from strength to strength ever since. My background means I’m patient, observant and completely at ease under pressure — the perfect combination for a wedding day.

My style is natural, candid and relaxed wedding photography, focusing on real moments, genuine emotion and all those beautiful in-between glances you didn’t even realise were happening. No awkward posing, no forced smiles — just you, being you.

That said, I absolutely understand how important group photos and couples portraits are. I’ll gently organise family shots so they’re efficient and stress-free, and we’ll carve out a little time for relaxed couple portraits — nothing stiff or staged, just natural moments together while you soak it all in.

A real pinch-me moment was receiving the North West TWIA Highly Commended Award for Best Newcomer 2026 — I genuinely cried...I mean like proper sobbed. Never did I ever imagine that would be part of my story and forever grateful to the amazing couples who supported me.

It’s an honour to capture the happiest days for incredible couples across Lancashire, Cheshire, Manchester and throughout the UK. And if you’ve made it this far, not only do you need a medal but we’re probably already a good match!!

Can't wait to hear your epic plans!

Michelle xoxo

Testimonials

Michelle made two camera-shy people feel completely at ease and somehow managed to capture us at our most natural and happy. Her calm, friendly presence on the day made everything feel effortless. We couldn’t be happier and would recommend her to anyone looking for a talented, thoughtful, and professional photographer.

Testimonials

Michelle immediately got the vibe we were going for and her communication with us throughout the process was fantastic. She was informative, gave us ideas for photographs and really took an interest in us, our story & the day we wanted. She guided my wife and I well, recognising when we needed breaks or just wanted some alone time. She managed our guests well & after the wedding had finished, lots of our guests commented how lovely she was and how they felt she fit our comfortable and at ease vibe perfectly.  I can’t recommend her enough!
